The Ring

My 13th birthday was in early July, and my dad took me out to breakfast. It was fun, but the part that I remember most was in the car on the way home. He gave me a "purity ring".That is a ring that when you're wearing it, symbolizes that you're sexually pure, and keeping yourself pure until marrige. I decided to not take off this ring until my wedding day. I will  give it to my husband in exchange for my wedding ring. Later when/if I have a daughter and she turns 13, he will give the ring to her.

Excuses

Hey guys! So for Fathers' Day, my dad got a nice pair of running shoes, but he said he hated them! He jokingly said he hates them, because before he had new shoes, he could say "I ran really slow today, but it's just these old shoes" or "oh, I would go running, but my shoes are really old and I don't want to hurt my back" or "I went running yesterday and now I'm really sore, but that has nothing to do with the fact that I'm 42, it's just my shoes!"

I think you've already guessed the common thread in all of these "examples": the shoes (or better known as his excuse to be lazy all day). You know where I'm going with this kind of thing -we find excuses to not do things we don't want to do. So basically, don't put off what you know you have to do anyway, even if it's running instead of watching TV and eating ice cream all day!

Happily Ever After

Hey girls! Hannah May is back with more updates in the blog world! For about a week I've been reading a book called The Mark Of Athena. Well, today I finished it, but it ended where two main characters were about to die, (serious cliffhanger!) and the next book isn't even out yet! I know this seems like I'm just rambling on, but there's actually a meaning behind this!

Life is a lot like a cliffhanger book, in a way. (We can compare life to books! Who knew?) We think we see the turnout, but then there's a major plot twist. Then we go for a while not knowing what's going to happen and if the main character (a.k.a. you) is going to be ok! But do you know the awesome part? All great stories end in a happily ever after! I'm not saying yours definitely will and everything will be perfect; I'm just saying that it could! But no matter what happens, God knows the plans for your life.

I am trusting you O Lord... My future is in your hands, Psalm 31:14

P.S. and they all lived happily ever after! sorry, I just wanted to make this a great blog!

Why?

If you're a teenager, or at least you will be soon, then you've probably asked that question at least once, so I'm going to answer that (as much as I can! I don't know about your love life <3!). First off, Why am I doing this blog? Well I just love writing and wanted to get started in that.

Why call it Iron & Diamonds? What I did for the blog title was that I combined the saying "Iron Sharpens Iron",

And put that with the fact that  diamonds are a girl's best friend

I'm making this blog for all teen or preteen girls.

Other Questions!
Who am I? Hannah May
Where am I from? Clarks Summit, PA
How long have I been blogging Iron & Diamonds? This is my first time!

Be sure to check back here tomorrow!
